Audrey Steeves

  Audrey Nina Steeves, 73, of Jordan Life Care Centre and formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriett (Smith) Weir.  Audrey was a homemaker, a member of the Middlesex Baptist Church and in her early working years did janitorial work at department stores in Moncton.  She enjoyed music, especially at church, and spending time with her family.

  She is survived and missed by her son Norman J. Mitton (Angie) of Prosser Brook; grandchildren Tanya Mitton (Aaron) and Danny Mitton (Kelly), Jason Mitton (Karey), Jeremy Mitton (Shandi) and Justin Mitton; great grandchildren Jessica, Courtney, Bradley and Jaxon; brothers John Weir and Benjamin Weir (Vivian) both of Turtle Creek; sister Eleanor MacDonald of Turtle Creek; special niece Esther Douthwright and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by first husband Norman L. Mitton; second husband Carl Steeves; granddaughter Tammy L. Mitton; sisters Hilda Morrissey, Charlotte Martin and Eva Bannister and brothers Guy, Clarence, Raymond, Howard and Eric Weir.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Thursday, October 23 from 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Friday, October 24 at 11 am with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating.  Interment to follow at Prosser Brook Cemetery.

  If desired, memorials to the Middlesex Baptist Church or the Prosser Brook Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
