Vernon Hill

  Vernon Morris Hill, 84, of Moncton passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late A. Loy and Ethel (Lutes) Hill.  Vernon was a second generation owner-operator of the former Hills Radiator Repair where he faithfully served his customers for many years.  He had a lifelong passion for his horses and he enjoyed gardening and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

  Vernon is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Doris (Jones); children Douglas (Charlotte) of Lakeville, John (Debbie) of Moncton, Marianne Hill of Riverview and Catherine McLatchy (Dallas) of Lakeville; cherished grandchildren Carla, Karrie, Eddie, Anita, Jessica, Dallas, Sarah, Mike, Scott and Tyler; great grandchildren Cohen and Finlay; sister Nancy Vail (Winslow) of Harrisville; daughter in law Linda Hill of Lakeville and several nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by son Geoffrey, grandson Christopher Hill and sister Norma Spriel.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday, May 28, 6 - 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Tuesday, May 29 at 11 am with Rev. Dan Compton officiating.  Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery.

  If desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
