Lawrence "Bud" Nicholson

   Lawrence Garth "Bud" Nicholson, 90, of Riverview, passed away on Sunday July 14, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Timber River, NB he was the son of the late Harmon and Hattie (Pauley) Nicholson.

   Bud worked for the Town of Riverview, where he retired after 25 years of dedication and punctuality; always early for work and never missing a day. He was very ambitious, usually awake before the crack of dawn, he enjoyed tinkering in his garage and mowing his lawn. He made many friends bowling with the CN league and opened his home and his heart to many foster children over 25 years.

   Bud is survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Henrietta nee Dobson; his children, Robert (Mavis), Rodney (Angie), David (Kim), Wendy (Robert) Reeder, Nancy (Chris) Wright, Joseph "Ray" Roberts and Shawn Nicholson; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Nicholson and his 4-legged companion, Max.

   Besides his parents, Bud was predeceased by his son, Charles Nicholson.

   Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bud's life at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West (372-4800) on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2 pm, with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. Interment in Alderwood Cemetery.

   If desired, memorials to the Moncton S.P.C.A. or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
