Eric Douthwright
1927-2016
Eric Guy Douthwright, 89, of Five Points, passed away peacefully with family at his side, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Nixon, he was the son of the late Alfred and Clara Douthwright. Eric was a retired carpenter from J.W. Lindsay Construction. He was a member of the carpenter's union and he loved gardening, yard work and gathering wood for the winter.
He is survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years Grace (Lewis); sons Brent (Jennifer), Vancouver and Ross, Five Points; daughter-in-law Ardeth, Riverview; sister Clara McCormick (Reid), Colpitts Settlement; grandchildren Nathan, Susan, Kristine, Amanda, Brent Jr., and Michael; great grandchildren Griffin, Mckenna, and Nolan, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Craig; brothers Cecil, Percy, Irvin, and Allan, and sister Lillian Russwurm.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Monday, January 2 from 1 pm until time of service at 2:30 pm in the chapel with Rev. Bill Parks and Rev. Harry Lewis officiating. Interment at a later date at the Middlesex Cemetery.
If desired, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
