William (Bill) Thompson
1968-2016
With teary eyes and heavy hearts, we announce that William "Bill" Thompson has left us far too soon, at the age of 48, on Sunday, September 25, 2016. He brightened up the lives of those he touched.
He will be dearly missed and loved by his young sons, Tristen and William MacFarlane, stepson Devon MacFarlane; mother, Brenda Carter; father, Bill Thompson; sister, Connie Tiesenhausen (Hjalmar); sister, Susan Snow (Peter); brother, James; first partner, mother of his children and long-time friend, Janice MacFarlane; dear friend, Elaine Steeves as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bill spent his career working as a power lineman. He lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humour and free spirit.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1 pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with Rev. Danny Compton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
