Donald  Ogilvie

Donald Arthur Ogilvie ,76, of Synton passed away Thursday September 15, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital with his family at his side.

  Born in Hillgrove he was a son of the late Roy Ogilvie and Lillian (Bishop) Ogilvie-Hill. Don was employed at Lounsbury Industrial (Wajax) for 38 years retiring in 1998 as Sales Manager. He enjoyed being outdoors be it hunting, fishing or trapping and took great pride looking after his property and his large vegetable gardens. In retirement Don and Doreen enjoyed many bus tours and spending time with their family and friends.

  Don will be lovingly remembered by his cherished wife of 56 years Doreen (Steeves), sons Dwayne (Bernice) of Amherst N.S., Darin (Marsha) of Moncton, grandchildren Corey, Amy, Brett (Megan), and Alison. Survived also by his siblings,  Mildred Fugate (Al) of Prince George B.C., Kathryn Barnes (late James) of Moncton, Dale (Claudia) of Hillgrove, sisters in law Audrey and Helen his Aunt Margaret Balzer and Uncle Bertram Bishop, in laws Clelland (late Leota), Gerald (late Marilyn), Constance (Walter), Philip (Lynn), Ronald (Hazel), Beverly (Don), Deverne (Dorine), Lynton and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his son David , siblings Leroy (Jean), Lloyd, Gordon (Bert), Joyce (Vincent, Aldean), Evelyn (Harry), step father Frank Hill, in laws Alfonso and Violet Steeves, brother in law Graham(Judy).

   Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and from where the funeral will be Monday September 19 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Bill Parks officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
