1932-2015

Ross Cameron

Earl Sinclair "Ross" Cameron, passed away peacefully at home in his 82nd year.  He was a son of the late William and Isabel (nee MacKay) Cameron.

Dad leaves behind three children, sons Kevin (Kim) of Moncton, and Dale of Dartmouth, NS, daughter Sheila Duffy (Michael) of Middle Sackville, NS; grandson, Tyler; sister Matilda Shea, Dartmouth, NS, brother Donald (Freda) of Central West River, NS; sister-in-law Sheila Kitchen (Bruce) of Truro, NS; former daughter-in-law Mary Capstick of Florence, NS; cousins and many nieces and nephews.  Dad also leaves behind his girlfriend and companion of more than 20 years, Ruth Parker of  Riverview, NB.  He was predeceased by wife Lucille, beloved daughter Yvonne, and brother Tom.

Dad was a long-haul and short-haul trucker, working his early years in Ontario at Bulk Carriers, then in the Maritimes at CN Rail (Route Canada), Day & Ross, and later for Tim Horton’s.  He enjoyed the open road and had the opportunity to travel coast-to-coast across Canada and throughout much of the United States, a true outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing and being with nature.  Many miles he’s walked in the woods, seeking the elusive game, with a few successful hunts along the way. Dad enjoyed spending time with his younger brother Donnie cutting wood on their land and loved bluegrass music, and attended many bluegrass festivals throughout the years where he met many lifelong friends.  Dad was an amateur mechanic who enjoyed tinkering with cars, trucks, snowmobiles, ATV’s, and boats.
