Jocelyn Valerie Corey

Jocelyn Valerie Corey, 63, of Steeves Settlement, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on September 10, 2014 with her beloved family by her side. Born in Moncton, she was a daughter of the late “Sid” Medley and Emma (nee Constantine) Wheaton. Jocelyn was a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She enjoyed all types of crafts, quilting, making stained glass, working with George in the woodshop, or putting in another flower garden. Jocelyn worked at The Jordan Life Care Center as well as in the family business at Corey’s Garage. Jocelyn is survived by her husband, George Corey; her daughters: Kandy Loveless, Karla (Alex) Robinson; her sons: Steven (Jill) Corey, Trevor “Pete” (Lori) Corey; her sisters: Gloria (David) McWilliams, Garda (Gordon) Crossman, Gail Cochrane; her brother Gerald Wheaton; her utmost cherished grandchildren: Sloan, Jordan, Sydney, Deanna, Alexis, Jade and Blake; her chosen grandchild Delaney; her BFF and partner-in-crime, Barb Thorne; as well as by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Jocelyn was predeceased by her brothers: Guerney Wheaton and Girvan Wheaton. Visitation will be held at Armstrong’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 12, 6-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church on September 13th at 11:00am with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenis. Interment will follow the service in Wheaton Settlement Cemetery.
