Barbara Carson

  Barbara Shirley Carson ,78, of the Spencer Home and formerly Havelock passed away Saturday June 14, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Wheaton Settlement she was a daughter of the late Percy and Vega (Dobson) Huckstepp. Barbara was a graduate of the former Salisbury Regional High School and married Russell in 1955. Before her illness she was an active member of the Havelock Baptist Church having been a Sunday School teacher, Awana leader, Church Clerk and a member of the W.M.S..  She enjoyed quilting,  her Bridge Club and was affectionately known around Havelock as the " Donut Lady" providing homemade donuts to many social events. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker she enjoyed their family gatherings and her grandchildren.

  Survived by her beloved husband Russell; her boys, Brian (Ruth), Danny (Debbie) and Gary (Lynette) all of Havelock and Jim (Susan) of Hillsborough; grandchildren Veronica Carson, Dallas Carson, Megan Carson-Menzie, Cole, Chris, Ashley Chase, Timothy, Nathan, Erin Carson, Philip, Gavin and Benn; great grandchildren Torah, Trace, Kannon, Owen, Avery, Emmalin and Hudson. Survived also by a sister Rhoda Marshall (Bob) of Darthmouth and by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant grandaughter Valerie.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Monday, June 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral will be held at the Havelock Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 17 at 11 am with Rev. Jarvis Lepper officiating assisted by Rev. Dean MacDonald.  Interment at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
