Eleanor McNeil
1943-2013
Eleanor Marie McNeil, 69, of Dobson Corner passed away suddenly Sunday June 30 2013.
Born in Dobson Corner she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Greta (Geldart) Hoar. Eleanor was a Home Care Worker with the Jordan Lifecare Center and was an active member of First North River Baptist Church where she helped lead the ladies small group bible study. She enjoyed the outdoors especially when gardening, walking, fishing and camping but was most happy when hosting family and her precious grandchildren.
Survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Thomas; children Arlene Wesselius (Albert) of Intervale, Stephen (Rhonda) of Riverview, Todd (Melissa) of Salisbury; grandchildren Ryan, Laura, Kyle, Breanne, Jaylin, Shyanne and Tarik. Survived also by a sister Jennie Sleeper of Lewis Mountain; brother Frank Hoar (Kay) of Dobson Corner; sister in law Margaret Hoar of Boundary Creek; mother in law Helen McNeil of Sydney; sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Robert, Hughie and Allison Hoar.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday 6-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Friday, July 5 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Drew Mersereau officiating. Interment at the Lewis Mountain Cemetery.
