Russell Gates Corey
Born in Cherryvale he was a son of the late Frank G. and Caroline (Greeno) Corey. Russell was a member of the New Canaan Baptist Church and retired from Canada Cement Lafarge after 36 years. He was a former member of the Havelock Flying Club and will be lovingly remembered by his family as a quiet man who enjoyed his family.
Survived by his children Nova (Lynn) of Jemseg, Donna Hamm (late Brian) and Gayle Kincade (Stan) of Cambridge-Narrows, Larry of Havelock and Luke (Patsy) of Gibbons A.B., grandchildren Dean, Mindi, Trevor, Troy, Jill, Carrie, Shalene, Devon and Sarah and nine great grandchildren. Survived also by sisters Marjorie Keirstead of Forks Stream, Mary Burke of Amherst; a brother Archie Corey of Lower Ridge and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife the former Eva Keith; brothers Allen and Ernest (Hank).
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel On Friday April 7 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Hicks officiating. Interment at the New Canaan Baptist Cemetery.
