Lavilla Keith

Lavilla Marie Keith, 97 of Petitcodiac passed away peacefully July 16th, 2026 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex.

Born in Salisbury on August 15th, 1928, she was the beloved daughter of the late Prescott and Mabel (McPhee) Irving. Lavilla was a very busy person. She was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Lavilla received the Governor Generals Award for her many hours of volunteering with the St. John Ambulance, she was on the Board of Directors for the Westmorland County Fair and she was retired from Kenneth E. Spencer Nursing Home. She was always cooking, making pickles, jams, jelly, pies, rolls and bread. She always loved being in the kitchen.

Besides her parents, Lavilla was predeceased by her husband Frank; son Richard; infant daughter (Sandra); sister Eileen MacAllister and sons-in-law Bob Patterson and Glen Carr.

She is survived by her brother Ralph Irving (Peggy); her four children, Danny (Cheryl), Brenda, Dianne and Tracey; grandchildren, Keith (Tiffany), Kristopher, Amanda (Sam), Derek (Sara) Cameron (Theresa) and Julian; great grandchildren Chloe (Storm), Madyson and Kaileigh, Otto, Dottie and Carson; great great grandchildren Sophia, Weslynn and Maddox and by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 on Tuesday, July 21st at 1:00 pm with the funeral to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.

 If desired, memorials in memory of Lavilla to the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the Staff at the Kiwanis Nursing Home for the wonderful care Mother received.
