Steven Taylor
1992-2026
It is with profound sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Steven Vaughn Taylor, 34, on June 28, 2026, at home in Colpitts Settlement, New Brunswick. Born on February 13, 1992, in Moncton, Steven brought light and love to those around him throughout his life.
Steven is lovingly remembered by his parents, Toby and Chris; his sister, Brittany (Brett); his cherished daughter, Cleo and her mother Stephanie, with whom he had built a special friendship; his grandmother, Marilyn Colpitts; his cousin and best friend, Donnie Bernard; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He is predeceased by paternal grandparents Floyd and Elinor Taylor; maternal grandfather Vaughn Colpitts; maternal great grandmother, Beulah Colpitts (Grammy Coco) and several aunts and uncles.
His bond with Cleo was a cornerstone of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with her. She brought him so much joy and made him proud every day.
A man deeply connected to the natural world, Steven had a passion for gardening and an innate talent for cultivating plants. His green thumb was a gift he inherited from his mother but soon surpassed as he shared his own extensive knowledge with her. He found joy in cooking, exploring the outdoors through mushroom picking, camping and learning of ways to live off the land. His love for nature extended into a profound interest in natural herbal and medicinal remedies—a journey that reflected his nurturing spirit and dedication to holistic living.
Steven’s laugh was unforgettable—indescribable and infectious—and it had the power to brighten even the darkest days. Those who knew him, will forever remember his goofy personality, huge heart, big hugs, and unwavering willingness to be there for others at any time or place. He embodied kindness and selflessness in every aspect of his life.
May Steven’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and inspire them to cherish the beauty of nature and the bonds of family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Toby & Chris, (739 Salisbury Back Road) for any of their and Steven's friends and family, Saturday, July 4th, 2026 from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
