Shaunda Roche

It is with great sadness the family of Shaunda Melisa Roche (Heldberg) announce her passing in Havelock, New Brunswick on May 20, 2026.

Shaunda was born on March 5, 1978 in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late Wanda Ethel Roche, and Thomas Davis, Shaunda grew up in Saint John and graduated from Simmonds High school, and attended Majestic Beauty School and Atlantic Business College. She went on to a career in Beauty and Esthetics, where she excelled in Women’s Nails Application and Make up Applications. Known for Expressive designs and business savvy. In later years she settled into farm life and quieter surroundings.

Melisa was married to Niko Heldberg and Stepmother to Lilianna and Laylah Heldberg. Melisa is survived by her three children; D'andre Bovaird, Niemna Roche-Mazerolle, and Jayce Mazerolle. Brothers; Jules Roche, Maurice Roche, Sisters; Eleana Roche, and Christina McCravy of North Carolina. Nephews; Julian Roche and Kieran Roche. Nieces; Josephine (JoJo) Roche, Kendra Post and Ty-Nesha Roche. Aunts; Charlene Marcial, Dianne Fatona, and Uncle Christopher Roche. Special Cousin Josephine M Roche of Toronto, Ontario. Love Brothers: Josh and Stephen Campbell. Best friends; Amanda Dempsey and Shelly Adams.

Shaunda is predeceased by Grandparents; Clarence and Josephine Roche, Mother; Wanda Roche and Aunts; Edith Bladen of South Carolina, Ellen Clark of Hamilton, Ontario and Carol Alleyne of Brampton, Ontario.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Crescent Valley Gospel Center, 500 Somerset Street, Saint John, New Brunswick. Burial will commence at a later date.
