James Mitton
1966-2025
James "Jamie" Mitton, 59 of Colpitts Settlement passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late William and Gloria (Wry) Mitton.
His family was always his number one priority and he would drop everything to be there for them. Whether it be a drive or needing something fixed he would come to the rescue.
Jamie was a mechanic early on in his working career. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing with his buddy Brian and his brother. He recently spent time in British Columbia with his nephew, Steven, fishing and hiking.
Jamie had many talents, including cooking, he was the family chef and made all the holiday meals or birthday dinners.
He was also a skilled craftsman and had many hobbies including woodworking, painting, and fly tying.
Jamie had a special love for his only granddaughter Penelope with whom he read many stories and watched dozens of episodes of Bluey.
He is survived and sadly missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Cindy (Brundage) Mitton; children, Andrew "A.J" Mitton and Sam Mitton (Josh); granddaughter, Penelope; brother Jody Mitton; sister, Jocelyn (Mike) Laurette, many nephews and nieces, including his special niece, Wanda (a.k.a his Gremlin) and his canine companion, Winston.
He is predeceased by; his father William; his mother, Gloria Mitton; His father in-law, Arthur Brundage; his sister in-law, Vanda Brundage.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (506) 372-4800 from where a private Celebration of Life will take place with Rev Bill Parks officiating. Interment will take place at the Five Points Cemetery at a later date.
