It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Carolyn Wynes (Smith), 79, of Hillgrove at the Moncton Hospital on August 24th, 2025 with her family by her side. Born in Hillgrove, she was a daughter to the late Hubert "Mort" & Gladys (Davis) Smith.

Family was first and foremost for Carolyn. Gatherings, especially at Christmas time, with her family and friends held a special place in her heart. Carolyn was a life-long member of the Hillgrove Baptist Church and was extremely strong in her faith.

Carolyn is survived and sadly missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Reginald Wynes; her loving children: Reggie (ZhiYing) of Hillgrove, Roberta (Mark) of Rothesay, Rebecca (George) of Torbay, NL; her grandchildren: Jami (Mark), Ayren, Reginald (Jerrica), Rutanya (Robin), Mark Anthony (Kaylee), Shuyen, Jensena, and Callie; her great-grandchildren: Kailey, Makayla, Mark, Shelby, Annalise, Ellie, Reginald, Finn, Thomas, James, Bruce, Theo, sister Jackie (Wayne) Wagner, sisters-in-law Heather Smith and Barbara Fink as well as, several nieces & nephews; her special friend, Debbie McCully; special people who were like family: Dave (Beth), Nathan, Amy and Ashley.

Besides her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her brothers: Roger Smith and Terrance Smith; her brothers-in-law, John and Herb; her sisters-in-law: Kathy, Diane, Marion, Beverly and Sharlene; her father in-law, Reg and mother in-law, Francis.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the Doctors and nurses in the Oncology Unit and Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton City Hospital for the care that was given to her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. Visitation will take place at the Hillgrove Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. A Private Funeral Service and Interment will be held.
