Elsie Bannister
1939-2025
Elsie Winnifred Bannister, 86 of River Glade NB, passed away at the Grass Nursing Home Thursday, July 3, 2025 with family at her side.
Born February 7, 1939 Elsie was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna (Heskett) Symes.
She was the devoted wife of the late Claude Bannister. She was known to have a meal on the table at meal time with lots for everyone no matter who or how many. Elsie loved time with family, friends, camping and any time she could be by the water be it a stream or the ocean.
Elsie had a professional career with the federal government early in life. She chose later in life to do local accounting work and to be a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Elsie is survived by her loving son Darren (Phyllis); grandchildren, Morgan, Zachary, Shiajan and Joshua; great grandchildren, Capri, Lydia, Ronin, Harlyn, Keegan, Maverick, Kayden, Makaya and Maddy; sister Betty and brothers Joe and Charlie. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Mervin.
Resting at the Salisbury funeral home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) visiting will be Sunday, July 6 from 7 to 9 pm and the Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, July 7 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating.
