William (Bill) Miller

  William (Bill) Morris Miller, 87, of Petitcodiac passed away Monday April 21, 2025 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Middlesex he was a son of the late Guy and Nellie (Lewis) Miller.

  Bill was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church and retired as a mechanic with Drurys and Armour Transport with over 50 years of service. He was heavily involved in Petitcodiac/Salisbury Minor Hockey for many years, he was one of the founding members of the Petitcodiac Boys & Girls Club, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Petitcodiac and he also served as a board member for various organizations.

  Bill loved to garden, dance and travel. He was a diehard Maple Leaf fan and loved to watch local stock car and NASCAR races. He was always "on call" if you needed him for anything. He enjoyed spending his spare time fixing golf carts, lawn mowers and snow blowers for his friends, neighbors and family members. He also dabbled as a chinchilla farmer for a few years.

  He is survived and missed by daughters Kim Lounsbury (Gary) and Wanda McMackin (Brent) of Petitcodiac, a son Roger (Kyly) of Cambridge ON, cherished grandchildren Nicholas Lounsbury, Lindsay Lounsbury, Ryan McMackin, Jillian McMackin (Seth), Leighton Miller and Garrett Miller and great grandchildren Liam and Nixon Lounsbury. Survived also by his sisters Eileen Hughes (late Derrick) and Carolyn Babineau (late Norman) sister in law Sheila Miller, brother in law Dick Vail (Marilyn) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen, infant son Brent, sisters Shirley Grose (Bill), Winnifred O'Brien (Weldon) and brothers Velma Miller (Doreen) and Robert Miller.

  Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home with visiting Thursday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Woodworth officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery.

 Our family would like to say a special "Thank You" to all of the Emergency and Health Care Workers who took care of our father during this trying time.
