Captain Timothy Dryden
1979-2024
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Timothy "Tim" Murray Dryden at home on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
A graduate of JMA Armstrong High, Tim was a loving father, devoted fire fighter, passionate train enthusiast, trucker and beloved son, brother and friend. He volunteered and supported the community at every opportunity; at the Christmas parade, Race track, community days, summer BBQ... he was devoted to the department and community.
For those who new Tim, he loved to smile, loved to joke, loved to be surrounded by friends and most of all, he loved to talk. Tim was able to strike a conversation with anyone and everyone and gladly discuss any topic! If mentioned Salisbury Fire or trains, you were in for stories and enthusiasm as he gladly shared, however if you wanted to really get him going, all you had to do was ask about Mackenzie. She was his pride and joy and never missed an opportunity to be a proud father and talk about his amazing daughter. From Impromptu trips to Grand Manan Island, to going for a drive to see a train coming through, no matter how many hours he spent on the road that week, he loved their adventures and couldn’t wait to share photos and stories.
Tim is survived by his beloved daughter, Mackenzie and her mother, Tammy Dryden; father, Emery Dryden (Thelma); mother, Nancy Cochrane (nee Rogers) (Lloyd); biological mother, Brenda Budge; grandmother, Kay Price; sisters, Kate Kahila (Mohamed, and their daughter, Sofia) and Jillian Dryden (Jeremy); half-sisters, Nicole Dwyer (Bryce) and Chelsea Budge (Shawn, and their sons Landon, Levi and Jasper); step-sister, Jill Crossman; half-brother, Ryan Budge (Kristie Findlay); step-brother, Patrick Crossman (Carly, and their son, Zak) as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Arrangements have been entrusted the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800) from where family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 6pm – 8pm. A Tribute to a Firefighter Celebration Service will be held Saturday, January 4, 11 am in the funeral home chapel, Chaplain Jonathan Gorham officiating.
If desired memorials to a Memorial Fund for Mackenzie’s education (contact Salisbury Funeral Home for donations) or The Salisbury Fire & Rescue Department would be appreciated by the family.
