Mary Good
1935-2024
Mary Josephene Good, long-time resident of River Glade, was called home to her heavenly father on December 27th, at the Silver Fox Home, Salisbury. She was surrounded by those who loved and cared for her. Mary was the daughter of the late Florence (Smith) and Charles Russell.
She leaves behind those whose hearts break in her absence, including her 3 adoring daughters Heather, Nancy (Dave), and Susan (Terry). This loss is felt deeply by her surviving grandchildren Joey (Destiny), Jamie, Luke, Cohen, Natalie, and Paige (Dylan). As well as her nieces Karen (Steve) and Janet; and great grandchildren Leya, Reyna, and Callie.
Mary was predeceased by her caring husband George (Ed) Good, sister June (Byron), and infant sister Virginia.
Mary was often found where her heart was happiest, surrounded by those she loved, cooking in the kitchen. It was well known that in order to score some of her homemade donuts and bread at the farmers market, you best be ready to wait your turn in a never ending line! She was an outstanding cook at the Irving restaurant In Petitcodiac for many years, and was known as the queen of apple pie!
Mary was a woman of strong faith and took great solace in her church community, with much appreciation extended to her Pastor Loyd O’Blenes, his wife Jackie, and Janet Steeves who lifted the congregation in song.
Please join us in celebrating her life that was well lived and thoroughly loved. The family will be receiving family and friends on Monday, December 30th from 3pm to 5pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800), and from where the funeral will be held Tuesday, December 31st at 9:30am with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating. Interment at Middlesex Cemetery.
Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Jason and his staff at the Silver Fox Home and Extra Mural Nurses especially Stephanie for the care that Mary received.
Donations in memory of Mary to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
