David "Dave" Taylor
1953-2024
David Lloyd Taylor, 71, of Petitcodiac, passed away Wednesday December 18, 2024 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Petitcodiac, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Muriel (Lounsbury) Taylor and husband of Marilyn.
Dave enjoyed teaching people things; he worked hard all his life and knew how to fix almost anything. He worked as a crane operator, heavy equipment operator, a mechanic and truck driver for most of his working career. Dave had accomplished Red Seal Status for all of those trades and he also taught at different Trade Schools. Dave loved life, travelling with Marilyn on the motorcycle and especially loved his family very much and in his own way. It didn’t matter who it was, what time of day it was, Dave was always able to talk. "If you don’t learn something new, it’s a waste of your day."
Dave is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; his sons, Jim-Bob (Tracey) and Chancy (Sarah); his sisters: Sharon Seely (Mac), Pam Berry (late David) and Ella Killam (Hughie); his brothers in-law: Earl Reid (Rita) and Roy Cusack (Rose); his sisters in-law: Peggy, Deborah MacIsaac (Steve) and Ellen Cusack; his grandchildren: Makayla, Harley (Nick), Hunter and Cassandra; his great grandchildren: Pearl, Noah and Thomas; his honorary son, Josh and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dave was predeceased by his son, Jonathan (Buzzie); his brother, Donald Taylor and his sister, Carolyn Kay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. A Masonic Service will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2024 at 5:30pm. The visitation will begin following the service from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The Funeral will be held on December 31st, 2024 at 1:00pm from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in the Lewis Mountain Cemetery.
