Evelyn Adair

Evelyn Celia Adair, 98 of Petitcodiac  passed away peacefully Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Fawcett’s Special Care Home.

Born in The Glades, she was a daughter of the late George C. and Mary (Graves) Geldart. Evelyn volunteered for many years at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, the neighbourhood Bridge Club and enjoyed ceramics and taught the art to others. She loved spending time in her garden and she very much enjoyed hosting friends and family at her home.

Evelyn is survived and sadly missed by her son Clayton Adair (Susan), Forest Glen and her daughter Sharon Rice, Beaver Bank, NS and by nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edward (Jim); son-in-law Jerry Rice; sisters Myrtle Geldart and Olive Johnson and brothers Henry, Walter and Francis Geldart.  Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) where the family will welcome family and friends to a  visitation Sunday, December 15 from 2 pm to 4 pm.  A Family graveside interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.

With Christmas season at hand, donations in memory of Evelyn to a Local Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
