Eloise MacLeod

1954-2024

Eloise MacLeod

It is with saddened hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Eloise Muriel Macleod on Dec 7, 2024 at The Kenneth E Spencer home and formerly of Petitcodiac, NB, following a brief illness.

Born October 20, 1954 in Harewood, she was the eldest child of the late Herbert and Margaret (Mundle) Macleod.

Eloise marched to the beat of her own drum, strong minded and independent. She enjoyed country music, especially the classics, loved getting out with friends for a country drive and especially her trips to Alma. Tim Hortons along with scratch tickets were also a favorite of hers. Her circle of friends may have been small but they were lifelong, her loyalty and caring ways were evident within each friendship.

She was so proud of her two children and two grandchildren and all their accomplishments, anytime she spoke of them you could see her pride for them. In the last couple of weeks, she shared many stories with them about her father and also how she loved her days up at the farm, things that they will remember forever.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Steve) of Colpitts Sett; son Wyman (Mandy) of Moncton; grandchildren Drew (Miranda) and Sydney (Nick); siblings Evan (Ada) of Bathurst, Marva (Dwight) of BC, Seldon (Christie) of The Glades and also a niece and many nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother Goldwin Macleod in 2003.

The family would like to thank the staff at Spencer's for the care and compassion shown to both her and the family during this difficult time and also to the staff of 4200 at The Moncton Hospital during her time with them. It is truly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) where family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, December 11 from 12:30 pm until time of service at 2 pm with Charis Holmes officiating. Interment in Monteagle Cemetery at a later date.

If desired, donations in memory of Eloise to a Local Food Bank or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
