Khalid DeLancey
2007-2024
It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family announces the passing of Khalid DeLancey of Petitcodiac, on November 23rd, 2024.
Born in Moncton on January 5th, 2007, Khalid is the son of Cindy-Lee Jean-Louis and Abdullah (Rob) DeLancey.
In addition to his parents, Khalid is survived by his sisters Jessica DeLancey (Trent), Laura MacInnis (Keylen); niece Isabella Chatwin; nephews Anderson Chatwin, Samson Hitchcock and Cullen Hitchcock; his grandfather, Micheal Jean-Louis; his uncle, Ryan Jean-Louis.
Khalid was predeceased by his Grandmothers: Sandra Jean-Louis and Viola DeLancey and his grandfather: Arnold DeLancey.
There are no words to describe the light and joy that Khalid brought into the world and shared with everyone around him. He will forever be remembered for his vibrant smile, laugh, and kind personality; among many other things, Khalid had a deep passion for life, finding the best in everything and everyone.
Khalid was a free spirit, constantly seeking the next adventure with those he loved. He had many close friends whom he considered brothers, and he loved them like family. Khalid took every opportunity to be with his brothers, and would have done anything to protect and be there for them. When he wasn’t on his next adventure, Khalid was home being a loving son, brother, and uncle.
When spending time with his father, they had many conversations about life and God. He would like it to be known that Khalid believed in the one and only indivisible God.
It is staggering to see how far Khalid’s light reached and how many people he impacted during his short time in this world. Khalid was an incredible soul that will never be forgotten. LLKD.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West, NB where a Funeral Service will be held on Sunday December 1st at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Maplewood Cemetery right after the Funeral Service, on Glenvale Road.
