Elsie Steeves
1931-2024
Elsie Irene Steeves, 92 of the Jordan LifeCare Centre, and formerly of Synton, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Born in Moncton, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Willena (Stewart) MacPherson. Elsie graduated from Elgin High School and Success Business College. She worked for MacPherson Builders for many years and was an active member of the Five Points Baptist Church. Elsie loved gardening, decorating for all the holidays and she was always very welcoming to new neighbours.
She is survived and sadly missed by her children Michael Steeves (Jocelyn), Cheryl Leaman (Gary) and Kim Steeves (Shelley); grandchildren Jenny Leaman (Jim), Newel Leaman (Maggie), Charity Leaman, Bradley Steeves (Natalie), Tracey Steeves and Keven Steeves (Jenna); great grandchildren Ryker Leaman, Audrey Steeves, Owen Steeves, Ethan Steeves and Holly Leaman; sisters Marilyn Chambers, Charlene Carty (Walter) and Elise Bourque (Michael) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband Lewis Steeves; son Andrew Steeves; granddaughter Terri Steeves; brother Gerald MacPherson and sister Elaine Garland.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Jordan LifeCare Centre for the wonderful care Elsie received.
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506)372-4800 where visitation will be held Monday, November 11 from 2 pm – 4 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel Tuesday, November 12 at 11 am with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. Interment in Pleasant Vale Cemetery.
