Evangeline & Arthur Belliveau

1937-2024

Evangeline & Arthur Belliveau

It is with both sadness and gratitude for their beautiful lives that we announce the passing of our beloved parents, **Evangeline Belliveau** (August 28, 1937 - September 7, 2024) and **Arthur Belliveau** (September 30, 1923 - April 23, 2022).

Longtime residents of Colpitts Settlement, Evangeline and Arthur were cherished members of their community. Their children, Emmanuel and Maple, attended school in Salisbury, forming lasting connections that spanned generations.

Arthur, a WWII veteran and dedicated railcar machinist with CN Rail for 30 years, was known for his pioneering spirit and craftsmanship. Inventive and industrious, he developed a technique that changed the industry and took pride in his work, often saying, "If there's a will, there's a way!" Outside of his career, Arthur served as a volunteer firefighter in Dieppe, managed the local bowling alley for a time, and in his later years, devoted himself to his Christian faith. Ever mindful of his health, he inspired those around him with his vitality and commitment, reading his Bible and researching health with passion.

Evangeline, born in Cebu, Philippines, made Moncton her home and worked tirelessly as a seamstress and cook, always finding entrepreneurial ways to support both her family here and loved ones back home. Her early door-to-door food delivery service made her a local legend, especially for her delicious eggrolls, a favorite at fire stations across the city. Her heart was as warm as her kitchen, welcoming friends and family with her famous quilts and her constant refrain of "eat-eat."

They are survived by their blended family of children: **Andrea, Stella, Phyllis, Jackie, Gill, Fernand, Maple Grace, and Emmanuel**; grandchildren: **Andy Arsenault, Yvel Belliveau, Michelle Rice, Fallon Godin, Natalie Wagner, Angela Assinewe, Todd Rosler, Tyler Belliveau, Adam Belliveau, Alyssa Belliveau, and Mathew Belliveau**; great-grandchildren: **Josh Arsenault, Trystan Rice, Taylor Rice, Edie Lynn Assinewe, Jacquelyn Assinewe, Maitlyn Johnson, Breanna Wabie, Jalen, Leeland, and Aliyaah**; and great-great-grandchild **Kimiya Asante**. They were predeceased by their children Morris, Muriel, Patricia, and Roderick.

Our mother and father touched so many lives, and it would mean the world to us to have you join us in honoring their memory. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, kindness, and love from so many.

We invite friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Evangeline and Arthur to join us in celebrating their lives on **November 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Salisbury Funeral Home (506)372-4800**. Following the service, there will be a burial for Evangeline.
