Claude Steeves
1937-2024
Claude Amos Steeves, 87, passed away at K E Spencer Home on August 5, 2024. Born in Kinnear Settlement, he was a son to the late Burpee & Thelma (Plume) Steeves.
Claude and his brother Clinton owned C & C Steeves Construction which the operated for many years. He was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church, longtime member of the Havelock Lions Club, the NB Antique Car Club, Codiac Car Club and had a special place in his heart for his canine companions.
Claude is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Perry) ; his daughter, Judy Mitchell (late Michael); his sons, Mark (Sharron), Jason (Shelly) along with his chosen son, Michael Taylor (Mary Ellen) and their family; his grandchildren, Jacob and Joel; his great-granddaughter, Jillian; his sister, Darlene Corey (Gary); his brother, Clinton (late Pauline) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Claude was predeceased by an infant daughter Jillian, a sister, Pauline Mann (Aubrey) and a brother, Conrad.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to doctors and staff (of Deerwood) at the Spencer Home for the wonderful care Claude received.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium (506-372-4800). A private family graveside service will take place at the Loyalist Cemetery.
If desired, donations in memory of Claude to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
