Surely named a hero by many it is true. Uniform is never disguarded, so proudly, worn, Air Force blue.

You’ve been so strong, valiant and brave defending family and homeland, Always eager to save.

Sleep easy now Dad and let your halo shine. Spread your wings Dad, you will always be the wind beneath me.

The family of Kenneth "Mac" Mackenzie, Chief Warrant Officer, 88, wishes to announce his passing on Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Dorchester NB, Feb 13th, 1936, he was the son of the late Anna Dolores Hanson and Maurice Kenneth Mackenzie.

Kenneth was a lifelong proud military man, having served for 36 years, the uniform never really came off. He also had a place in his heart for German Shepards. Having done peacekeeping in Egypt, receiving a medal for saving a life and was an avid sportsman among many other things. In his later years, Kenneth lived with his son and daughter in-law. He greatly enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, eating meatballs, cuddling with his cat Nelly and supporting his son and grandson in their stock car racing endeavours.

Kenneth is survived by his Son, Kenneth Mackenzie (Sherry); Daughter, Dolores MacKenzie-Kellar; Grandchildren: Cheryl-Ann (Gary), Norman and Kenny JR (Hannah); Great-grandchildren, Drake, Devin and his beloved cat, Nelly.

Besides his parents, Kenneth was predeceased by his brother, Alton MacKenzie; Son-In law, Dalton Kellar and Niece, Tanya Lee.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. All arrangements at this time are being held privately. An interment will take place at the Blackville Fellowship Center alongside his parents.
