Angela Stief Lea

1965-2024

Angela Stief Lea

On April 18, 2024, Angela Dawn Stief Lea (née Steeves) passed away surrounded by her family in the beautiful home she designed and built with her loving husband John. Her lifelong journey of learning, teaching and helping those around her started in Havelock NB, with her parents Pauline and Clinton Steeves and older brother Danny Steeves and two younger siblings, Dawna-Lee and Jamie with whom she had numerous adventures.

After graduating valedictorian from Petitcodiac High School she went to Dalhousie University where after interning and studying in Glasgow at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Royal Western Infirmary she returned to graduate on the Dean’s list with a degree in Physiotherapy. She married her high school sweetheart John Lea on October 1st, 1988 and built a beautiful life and family having three sons, Izaak, Quinton and Micah.

She passed her love of knowledge, learning and cooking to her sons and to anyone she talked with. Her skills and knowledge as a physiotherapist were well known across New Brunswick, having started her career at the Moncton Hospital and moving to help people from Sackville to Sussex as an extra-mural physiotherapist and eventually creating her own clinic to extend her healing hands to people from the local area and far away. Her drive to help and better the people around her was behind her extensive community involvement which includes years of community service with the Havelock Women’s Institute and volunteering for the community of Havelock.

Her love of learning and art is evident in everything she touched, from the details she put in every painting and decoration she surrounded herself with to the care and attention she gave each patient. After a strong and courageous fight with cancer she is now with her dear mother Pauline and her son Quinton and will always be in the hearts of her father, Clinton, siblings Danny, Dawna-Lee and Jamie, her loving husband John and sons Izaak and Micah.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) on Sunday, April 21 at 2 pm with memory sharing at 3:30 pm. A private family interment will be held at the Loyalist Greenhill Cemetery.

If desired, donations in memory of Angela to the Loyalist Greenhill Cemetery or the Havelock Women’s Institute would be appreciated by the family.
