Wayne Harris

  Wayne Harris, 75, of Petitcodiac, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024. Born in Brantford, ON, he was the son of the late Don and Mary (Olenuk) Harris.

  Prior to his retirement, Wayne operated "Harris Heating". Wayne had a passion for life. He loved all things sports and was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports they loved, no matter what the venue. Wayne loved to travel and all of what life had to offer, as long as it was happening in hot warm weather.

  He is survived by the love of his life, Alida Atkinson; his sons Jeffrey Harris of Salisbury, Chris Dery (Valene) of Petitcodiac; daughters Cyndy Lewis (Stephen) of Petitcodiac, Dawn Bedding (Dj) of Moncton; the mother of his children Lynn Harris, his sisters Margaret Ann (Doug Armstrong), Shirley (late Mark) and Mary Duchene (Tom); thirteen grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son Wayne and his brother Billy.

  The family would like to send a special thank you to The Driscoll Unit of the extra Mural team, your time and dedication didn’t go unnoticed. To Eddie & Theresa your love and friendship we can’t put into words how much we love you, thank you for everything.

  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) from where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, April 10 at 3 pm with Rev. Chris Hayes officiating.

  In Wayne’s memory, donations made to the Petitcodiac and District Figure Skating Club would be appreciated. The Petty Club always held a special place in his heart for his favourite skater, grandson Nathan.
