Dale Stiles

1953-2024

Dale Stiles

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Dale Vernon Stiles, 70, of Pollett River at the Moncton Hospital on January 14, 2024.

Born in Petitcodiac on October 9, 1953, Dale was the youngest son of the late Kenneth and Shirley (Graves) Stiles. He grew up in Elgin and discovered a talent for music early in life. After graduating from high school, Dale and his wife, Laura, built a home in Pollett River and raised their three children there.

Dale’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to succeed in various ventures throughout his life. He owned a piano business for many years and was also active in the silviculture industry, among other enterprises.

He was a gifted musician and singer who played in many bands and as a solo performer from the 1960s through to the 2010s. Dale was a piano player first, but if it had a keyboard or strings, he could play it and play it well.

Dale was a warm, generous man with a great sense of humour. He had an inclination for mentorship and helped many people over the course of his life.

Dale is survived and sadly missed by his children, Amelia Stiles-McDougall (Jack), Randal (Charlene) and Wilson, all of Pollett River; grandchildren Ethan Stiles, Ava Sears, Sarah Bourgoin and Thomas McDougall; sister Eloise Bannister (Delbert); many nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura, and his brother, Robert.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. All arrangements at this time are being held privately.

Donations in Dale’s memory may be made to the charity of the individual’s choice.
