Faith Clarke

 Faith Winifred Clarke, 95 of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of New Canaan passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024 after a brief illness.  Born on September 26, 1928 in New Canaan, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl (Kierstead) Corey.

 Faith was a gentle, quiet and kind hearted woman who took pride in all that she did.  Everything revolved around her family from the making of home cooked meals and baking to sewing and knitting and every single thing was done to perfection.  Mom had an incredible mind for remembering detail and past events which we all relied upon heavily.   She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 She is survived by her children Darryl Herman (late Mary), Marliss Clarke, Mitzi Clarke and Kevin Clarke (Beth); brother Roy Corey (late Edith); several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Alvin Clarke (1997); son Brian Herman; daughter Sharon Black; granddaughter Melanie; sisters Myrtle Woodman and Doris Coleman; brothers Russell, Raymond, Harold, Holly and Lawrence.

 We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Spencer's for your warmth and kindness shown to our mom while she was in your care.  Your friendship and time spent with her truly brightened her day.  

 Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) with visitation  Saturday, January 6 from 4 - 6 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel Sunday, January 7 at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Woodworth officiating. Interment at New Canaan Cemetery.
