Fay Steeves

  Fay Steeves, formerly of Elgin, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, with family by her side, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Mapleton, she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Ruth (Garland) Bishop.

  She cherished time with her family and though she lived at Golden Years, Moncton, for the past several years, Fay's heart remained in Elgin.

  Survived and sadly missed by her son Stephen Onuluk and his wife Faye; grandchildren Jonathan (Miranda McKay) of Moncton and Natasha of Dieppe: cherished great grandson Nolan; daughter Marianne Sweet and her husband Richard; brother Donald Bishop and his wife Dianne (deceased); cousin (and surrogate sister) Erna Steeves and her husband Winston; step-son Terry and his wives Shirley (deceased) and Faye, their children and grandchildren and four nieces and a nephew.

  She is reunited in Heaven with her husbands John Onuluk of Richmond Hill, Ontario, and Raymond Steeves of Elgin, parents Laurie and Ruth Bishop, brother Frank and his wife Irene and step-daughter Linda Steeves.

  A service to celebrate Fay's life will be held on Friday, December 29 at 2 pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (506-372-4800).

  If desired, memorials to Elgin Cemetery or the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation in thanks for the care and dignity they gave to Fay in her final days.
