Gerald (Gerry) Colborne

1951-2023

Gerald (Gerry) Colborne

It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Gerald (Gerry) Colborne, 72 of Salisbury on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Born in Scotts Settlement, he was the son of the late Neil and Helen (Dobson) Colborne. The Colborne family moved to Salisbury 63 years ago. Gerry was a longtime employee at Graymont in Havelock.

Gerry is survived by children, Tammy Tingley, Krystyna McMackin and William Colborne (Jodi MacCallum); step-children, Lanny Wilson (Dale) and Lyle Wilson; grandchildren Justin, Melanie, Alex, Jake, Brodie, Ethan and Connor; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lidia, Troy, Paisley, Fallon and Mare; siblings, Linda Constantine (Edwin), Lorne Colborne (Debbie), Dorothy Colborne and Sharon Smith (Michael), and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by in-laws, Jerry Paradowski, John Marshall, Donna Tower, Roberta Green, Brenda Morris and Dianna Morris.  Besides his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his wife, Lidia (Paradowski) in 2000 and spouse, Evelyn Wilson in 2023 as well as sisters, Hazel Munroe and Janet Arsenault.

Although Gerry had Parkinson's for the past several years, it didn't slow him down much. He continued to enjoy an active social life. He loved his family and friends, trips to the camp, playing pool, watching stock car races and rarely missed a musical event at Grady's Pub.

Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) with visiting Wednesday, October 25 from 5 pm - 8 pm.  A Celebration of Gerry's life will take place at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, October 26 at 11 am with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. The family will attend a private burial at Five Points Cemetery.

If desired, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.keirsteads.ca
