Kathryn MacLeod

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Kathryn MacLeod (nee Maxan) on September 22, 2023 at the Jordan LifeCare Centre surrounded by her family. Born in Smiths Creek, she was a daughter to the late George & Margaret (Robinson) Maxan.

Kathryn was a devoted member to her church and in her faith. She enjoyed all the time spent with her family and taking care of them. She looked forward to family gatherings and in the later years, her regular phone calls with all of her kids which ended in laughter every night. She will be missed.

Kathryn is survived and sadly missed by her children: Nancy McCormick (late Ed), Nigel MacLeod (Janet), Dennis MacLeod (Karen), Jamie MacLeod (Sharon), Kathy Ashe (Russell), Shelley Carr (Randy) and Trevor MacLeod (Rhonda); her 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Kathryn was predeceased by her husband, Vincent MacLeod; her sons: Vincent Jr., Gary and her brothers: Malcolm, Glenn and Vernon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800 from where visitation will be held on Monday, September 25^th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. A funeral service celebrating Kathryn’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 26^th at 11:00am with reception to follow. Interment will be held at the First North River Cemetery.
