Darrell Peterson

Darrell Otty Peterson, 70, of Cornhill passed away at home on Wednesday, August 30^th, 2023. Born in Shirley Settlement, he was a son to the late Perly and Muriel (Petley) Peterson.

Darrell was the best Dad his children could have asked for. He never liked bad moods and always wanted everyone to be happy. He hated seeing his daughters sad and crying. He always laughed and made voices to make everyone in the room smile. Darrell would never see people go without what they need, he would give the shirt off his back. Many people called him Dad, besides his children. He will be greatly missed by everyone that was blessed with his presence.

Darrell is survived by his companion, Doris; his daughters, Angela Boudreau (Paul), Jessica Melvin (Steven), Leana Peterson (Chris) and Gloria Peterson (Damian); his grandchildren, Kendis, Brodie, Elysia, Tristan, Sebastien, Austin, Travis, Conner, Sylvia, Kai and Elliott; his great-grandchildren, Amelia, Fiona and Ezra; his sisters, Phyllis, Diane, Theresa and Debbie; his brothers, Gerry, Jimmy and Ralph; and his canine companion, Suzie Q.

Besides his parents, Darrell is predeceased by his wife, Julia (Douglas) Peterson, a son, Keith, and a brother, Fred.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800 with a Graveside Service Monday, September 4, 1:30 pm at the Pine Grove Cemetery and a Celebration of Life (casual attire, be yourself) to follow at the Cornhill Community Hall.
