Edward Anderson
1943-2023

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Edward Anderson, 80, of Petitcodiac at the Moncton Hospital on August 21st, 2023. Born in Saint John, he was a son to the late Fred and Pearl (MacDonald) Anderson.
Edward started his working career in the army as a cook. He then went home and started well drilling with Fred Steeves for many years and also did meat cutting for Hub Meat Packers then worked his remainder years at Fawcett’s Lumber Yard as a Millwright. Edward loved woodworking after he retired, right up till the day he left us. He loved his grandkids and great grandkids. Whatever they wanted, they got. Never a day went by a grandkid wasn’t walking through the door saying "Hey Papa," with his reply of, "Oh gosh, look what the cat drug in, HaHaHa."
He will be sadly missed by his loving and caring wife, Linda Anderson; his children: Bruce (Kathy) Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Robin Anderson, Jason (Jessica) Smith, Bonnie (John) MacLeod, Paul (Amanda) Smith, Cassandra (Cory) Anderson and Amanda Anderson; his 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and his last living uncle, Colin Thompson.
Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by his sons: John Smith, Ted Anderson and his brother, Douglas Anderson
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800, from where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 25th, from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am with interment to follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.
