Sheila Taylor

It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Sheila Taylor, 73, of Hillsborough on July 31^st, 2023 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Moncton, she was a daughter to the late Hinson & Lillian (Boyce) Alward.

Sheila was a devoted mother and foster mother, she and her husband; Gary took care of 49 kids in their time as parents and foster parents. She loved every minute of time spent with her family and extended family. Sheila was the president of the Hillsborough Senior’s Club for 10+ years from where her hobbies such as organizing events and crafting came in handy. She loved to travel and her favorite trip was when she had gone to Hawaii with her and Gary’s favorite travelling companions Dennis and Donna Smith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Sheila is survived and sadly missed by her husband, Gary Taylor; her daughters: Keri Lewis (Robin), Krista Sherwood (John) and Kimberly Fearon (Joey); her son, Kenny Taylor; her brother, Paul Alward (Sue); her sister in law, Cheryl Coates (Ralph); her grandchildren: Thomas, Joshua, Grace, Wayne, Julia, Ethan, Bryanna, Rebecca Pearl, Chelsey, Zackery, Jessica, William, Savanna, Aiden, Sabella and Wyatt; her 9 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and a nephew.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800, from where visitation will be held on Friday, August 4^th, 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5^th at 11:00am at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel with reception to follow. Interment will be held in the Monteagle Cemetery.
