Phyllis Chambers

Phyllis Jean Chambers of Petitcodiac passed away at the Jordan LifeCare Centre on July 18^th, 2023 at the age of 96.

 Born in Petitcodiac, NB, she was a daughter to the late Hugh and Mary (Wilson) Perry, and step-daughter of the late Sandy Powers.

 Phyllis will be sadly missed by her children, Wayne Chambers (Linda), Deborah Marsh (Harold), Terry Chambers (Kim); daughter-in-law, Susan Chambers (late Maurice); her grandchildren, Kimberly Breau (Andrew), Michael Chambers (Diane), Kevin Chambers (Chrissy), Stacy Hunter (Tim), Kristy Blakney (Terry), Mark Chambers (Stacy), Teri Lynn Keith (Serge), Scott Keith (Kennedy), Becky Thomas, Tasha Thomas, Troy Chambers (Robyn), Brandi Manderson (Jason), Alyssa Thorne (Jason), Trica Wade (Trevor) and Natalie Thorne;  her 30 ½ great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Henry Chambers; her son, Maurice; and her sisters, Lillian and Donna.

 In her early years, she worked for her mother at the restaurant in Petitcodiac, then for Tom Smith at the 5 and 10 Department Store, and then for Stan Bransfield at Stedmans. She enjoyed knitting and embroidery work, family Sunday dinners and the grandkids jumping on the beds upstairs.

 The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for those who cared for Phyllis while she was at Fawcett’s Rest Home and Jordan LifeCare Centre.

A celebration gathering will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 1pm – 3pm at Salisbury Funeral Home, (506) 372-4800. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery.

 In Phyllis’ memory, donations can be made to Jordan LifeCare Foundation or Maplewood Cemetery.
