Mark Brown

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Mark W. Brown, 68, of Grand-Barachois, formerly of Brantford, Ontario. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, on October 15^th, 1954, he was a son to the late John "Al" & Anna (Philpott) Brown.

Mark was a warm, gregarious and kind person who loved with his whole heart. A skilled handyman, he could often be found working on a project at his home, or anywhere else he could lend a helping hand. Mark was thrilled to be renovating his dream home, an A-frame wood cabin near the ocean in New Brunswick, and was excited to welcome his friends and family for visits and barbecues.

Mark loved road-tripping to Alberta and the Maritimes, stopping along the way to camp and catch up with loved ones from coast to coast. He also enthusiastically supported the Toronto Blue Jays, and recently took a trip to cheer them on at Spring Training in Florida.

Above all, Mark loved his family. His greatest joy in life was being a dad and a grandfather.

In the days since Mark’s passing, his family has taken comfort in the outpouring of love for him as they navigate their grief. Mark touched so many hearts and will be so dearly missed.

Mark is survived and sadly missed by his sons, Alex Brown (Caitlynn) of Colpitts Settlement and Wes Brown of Alberta; his brother, Allan Brown (Terry) of Ontario; step-daughter, Catherine Spafford (Fred) of Alberta; his grandchildren: Benjamin Brown, Brinley Brown and Ryker Brown.

Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by his grandson, Jackson Brown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
