Evelyn McFee

Evelyn McFee

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Evelyn McFee, 77, on June 29th, 2023 at the Jordan LifeCare Centre. Born in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Vincent & Jeanne Palmer.

Evie was a hard worker who made friends wherever she went, she sensed adventure and moved to Iqaluit for 10 yrs, she was an avid reader who loved nature and animals and no one could beat her at jeopardy. She helped her family selflessly. She loved to brag to everyone about her daughter and grandkids.

Evelyn is survived and sadly missed by her daughter, Nanette (Darryl) O’Neill; her sisters: Barbara Palmer, Karen Stack and Brenda Carson; her grandchildren: Justin Thompson, whom she shared a very special bond with; Chad Steeves (Carrie) and Faith Steeves (Nathan); her very best friend, Nan Mersereau; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of the Jordan LifeCare Centre for their tremendous care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 4th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home. A Funeral Service celebrating Evelyn’s life will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 5th, 1:00pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel. All are welcome.
