Edith Armstrong

It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Edith L. Armstrong, 90, formerly of Salisbury on June 21, 2023 at the Jordan Lifecare Centre. Born in Liverpool, N.S., she was a daughter to the late John F. & Annie M. (Townsend) Whynott.

Edith was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church the Choir and ACW. Along with her late husband,  Alton, they owned and operated Armcrest Kennel raising golden retrievers and was a member of the Canadian Kennel Club for over 25 yrs.

Edith is survived and sadly missed by her two daughters, Dianne (Wesley) Lawson of Riverview and Gail (Brent) MacLeod of Salisbury; her two sons, David (Faye) of Petitcodiac and Ronald of Second North River; her daughter-in-law, Brenda of Petitcodiac, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her husband, Alton; her son, Wayne; her sisters: Mary Whynott, Gertrude Huskins, Nellie Croft and Pauline Lohnes; her brothers: Wallace, and Aubrey and her infant sister, Honey and grandson, Joel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800 from where visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 24th, at 10:30am from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place following the service at the Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner
