Dale Parlee

1962-2023

Dale Parlee

It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Dale Alan Parlee, 61, of Moncton on May 16, 2023 at Albert House Hospice, Moncton.

Born in Sussex and raised in Kinnear Settlement, he was a son of the late John and Marjorie (Dobson) Parlee. Dale was a truck driver for nearly 40 years. He was presently driving for Seaboard Transport for the past 15 years and before that he drove many years  for Armour Transport.

Dale loved spending time with and spoiling his grandkids. He also loved watching wrestling and yelling at the tv while doing so. He enjoyed any chance he got to go towards Neguac to see his extended family and friends in Fairisle. That brought him much happiness, especially the outdoor fire, food and drinking.

Dale will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend Stephanie (MacPherson) with whom he's been married for twelve years and together for fourteen; his beautiful daughters Jodi Murphy (Mitchell) and Alicia Philips (Chris); step-children Brandon MacPherson (Kelsey) and Tonya Sherrard (Matt); his pride and joy were his grandchildren Skye, Garrett, Grace, Rayla and Ava; goddaughter Allie McGraw; mother-in-law Donna MacPherson and father-in-law James Nash. Survived also by sister Clara Reston (late Bill); brothers Francis (Jean), Frederick (late Bernice), Roger (Janet); sisters-in-law Janet Parlee, Mary Parlee, Patsy Parlee and Donna Smith; brothers-in-law Alan MacLeod (Eileen) and Chris Dignam and by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Melbourne, Donnie, Hartford, Carleton, Mable Hicks, Harold, Debra White, Pearl MacLeod, Nelson and Irene Dyer; brother-in-law Rodney Hicks and nieces Tracy Mitton and Kimmie Hicks.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Matthieu Gaudet, Dr. Pierre Beaulieu, the Oncology Clinic at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, the Driscoll Extra Mural and the SENB Hospice (Albert House) for their care and kindness.

Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, with a visitation, Friday, May 19 from 6 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be in the chapel, Saturday, May 20 at 2 pm with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating.

If desired, memorials to Hospice SENB or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
