Lorna Gail Harnish

1943-2023

Lorna Gail Harnish

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Lorna Gail Harnish (Lovean) of Fredericton, NB, surrounded by her family at Hospice House on March 29, 2023 at the age of 79.   Born in Plaster Rock, NB she was the daughter of the late Oscar Lovean & Dora Kinney (Bradford).

Gail was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first.  She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, having sleepovers, cooking for her family and spending time with them every chance she could.  We will all miss her delicious meals, pickles, baked goods and her special birthday cakes.

Mom’s favourite sport was bowling which she enjoyed playing every week at Kingswood with her friends and was very proud of her high score of 131.  She also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and she loved to challenge family members to a good game of washer toss which she would usually win.

Gail is survived and sadly missed by her daughters, Colleen Harnish Trottier (David) and Denise Johnson (Brian); her son, Todd Harnish (Jennifer); her 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, special nephew, Dean Fairbairn, sister-in-law, Doris Lovean and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gail was predeceased by her brothers, Reginald and Roger Lovean, and sister, Myrna Fraser.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Fredericton.  She appreciated your kindness and adored you all.  The care and love given to mom will always be remembered as well as the kindness & compassion shown to our family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. A graveside interment will take place at a later date from the Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton.

If desired, donations made to the Hospice House Fredericton would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donations may be made at www.keirsteads.ca
