Doreen Vankoesveld

  Doreen Alice Vankoesveld (Baskin) 75 years young, born December 19, 1947 in Cornhill, NB, passed away peacefully at her home in Havelock, NB on February 19, 2023.

  She is survived by her 3 children, Angela Rogers, Barbara Vey, and John Rogers, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Dori (Myron), Judy (Danny), Edna and her brother Glenn, as well as many nieces and nephews all across Canada.

  Doreen would often be found playing crib at the legion or at home with family. She lived in BC close to her eldest sister for many years before returning home to NB. She enjoyed woodworking, making ceramics, and loved to travel, especially to Holland.

She was an angel on earth. Always there to help whenever and whoever she could. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

  She is predeceased by her twin sister Della, sister Irene and brother Bruce, as well as her first husband Robert Rogers, and second husband John Vankoesveld.

  It was Doreen’s wish to not have a funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800).

  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntingtons Society or Diabietes Association.
