Thomas "Tom" Douthwright
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Thomas Douthwright, 66, of Colpitts Settlement on January 12th surrounded by his family.
Born in Colpitts Settlement, he was a son to the late William & Della (Morrisey) Douthwright.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He loved having bonfires, hunting, fishing, camping and four-wheeling. When he wasn't outside, he was usually found tormenting whoever was around. In his younger years, he loved bowling so much that he was part of a league! His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.
Tom is survived and sadly missed by his wife, Cindy Douthwright; his daughter, Victoria (Andrew) Firlotte; his brothers and sisters: Susan (Butch) O’Brian, William Douthwright Jr., Peggy (late Henry) Roberts, Peter (Beverly) Douthwright, David Douthwright, Judy (Scott) Strugnell, Jennifer (John) Yarrow, Grant (Tara) Douthwright and Rosemary (Troy) Douthwright; his grandchildren, Cole and Dylan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Betty Woodard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) from where a gathering celebrating Tom’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 17th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Further fellowship will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Salisbury at 4:30pm following the Celebration of Life. All are welcome.
If desired, donations made to the Salisbury Legion would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donations may be made at www.keirsteads.ca
