Irene Colpitts

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Irene Emma Colpitts, 99, of Salisbury West at The Jordan LifeCare Centre on November 28th. Born in Waterford and formerly of Penobsquis, she was a daughter to the late David & Helen (Walters) Law.

Irene is survived and sadly missed by her daughter, Shirley Quinlan (late Charles) of Salisbury West; her step daughter, Muriel (James) Carpenter of Penobsquis; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Ermen; her second husband, Lloyd Colpitts; daughter, Jean Steeves; her step sons, Wayne Colpitts and Cedric Colpitts; her brothers: Ora Law, Kenneth Law, Clarence Law, Stanley Law and her sister, Welthy Linden.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Jordan LifeCare Centre for their great care of Irene.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1^st from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 2^nd at 11:00am with reception to follow, all from Salisbury Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Cardwell Cemetery in the spring.

If desired, donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
