Juanita Patriquin

The family of Phyllis Juanita Patriquin are saddened to announce their mother’s passing on June 18, 2022 at Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB. Born on September 16, 1931 mother was one of five siblings born to James and Jeanetta Spence of Lornevale, NS.

Mother leaves behind her three children, Vernon Patriquin ( Julia ), Doreen Gourley ( Mike ) and Lynn Gallant ( Frank );  brother James Spence ( Louise ), sister Eileen Mattinson; grandchildren Michael, Jody, Aaron, Kerri and Kelly; great grandchildren Tyler, Zack, Jamie, Jared, Cassie, Ethan, Tucker and great great grandchild Mya Grace plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, mother was predeceased by husband Lionel Patriquin and later in life partner Ransford Steeves; sisters Frances, Kathleen, Winnie and brother Larry.

During mother’s younger years she was hair dresser, worked in hospitality and was an active member of Salisbury Legion’s Women’s Auxiliary. She also enjoyed bowling, playing darts, playing cards, dancing and music. She had a life long love of animals which gave her purpose, comfort and companionship in her senior years as did her gardening, quilt making and knitting.

The family would like to publicly acknowledge our sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Lakeview Manor for the loving, personalized and professional care they provided mother during her stay at their home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium. In accordance with mother’s wishes there will be no visitation or public service.
