Freeman Lewis
1923-2022
Freeman Stanley Lewis, 98, a lifelong resident of Monteagle passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Monteagle he was the last of the surviving children of Thomas and Alice (Neal) Lewis. Freeman was a retired employee of the former Canada Cement LaFarge, Havelock and a longtime farmer. He was a member of the Second North River Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling in the senior leagues.
Survived by his son Reid of Monteagle and by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Stella, son Orval, an infant sister Rachel and sisters Hazel Dobson, Sadie Lutes, Vera Lewis, Leola Smith, Rachel Lewis and Flora Lewis and brothers Harold, John, Alfred, George, Ray, Oliver and Donald.
The Funeral will be held Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel (372-4800) with Pastor C. Keith Lewis officiating. Interment at the Monteagle Cemetery.
