Russell Daigle

1947-2022

Russell Daigle

Russell Daigle, 75, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at SENB Hospice - Albert House with his family by his side on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Born in Point-du-Chene, he was the son of the late Clarence and Doris (Hendrickson) Daigle.

Russell grew up in Pointe-du-Chene, where he spent his youth unloading pulp boats off the wharf and riding and training horses. He attended Moncton High School class of 1965, followed by a long career as a salesman in Moncton and throughout the Maritimes. He enjoyed carpentry and building a playhouse for his daughters when they were young, and he was constantly renovating his homes over the years. Russell had many friends in Salisbury, Moncton, and in the Rosewood mini-home community on Salisbury Road, where he previously lived. In his later years, he enjoyed going for long drives and spotting the deer out in the fields of Salisbury.

Survived and sadly missed by his daughters, Lynn (Chris) Colepaugh of Riverview and Stacey (David) Atkinson of Ottawa; grandchild, Lavinia Colepaugh; siblings, Flo Rule and Eric Daigle; sister-in-law, Joan Eagles; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Russell was predeceased by his siblings, Janet Stevens, Norma Collier, Bobby Daigle and Rod Daigle.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to SENB Hospice - Albert House, where Russell spent his final weeks under the care of their wonderful staff.

There will be no services by request. Arrangements in care of The Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800).
